First of all, how is it October 9th already?  It still barely feels like September let alone nearly mid-October!  But since the calendar (and the newly started hockey season!) says so, it's time for another installment of The Story Siren's In My Mailbox meme where we get to talk about the books we got our hands on this past week.

It's supposed to be another gorgeous (but chilly!) autumn day here in Michigan, but even better than that, it's a Sunday that I don't have to work AND it's time for another week of The Story Siren's excellent meme: In My Mailbox!

Okay, you guys, I went just a little insane over books this week.  On the plus side, I sold about $60 of books to the local independent bookstore so I was able to justify buying, um, six hardcover books this week. Three are from Amazon and three are from the bookstore so it's not that horrible, but still.  I work at a library!  I should be able to wait a few weeks or months to read these!

In My Mailbox: Sunday September 18

So it's Sunday again (somehow!), and I spent too much money at the bookstore this week. Which means we have another edition of The Story Siren's excellent meme: In My Mailbox!

The first three books I got at the local independent bookstore - Claudia Gray's Fateful, Gabrielle Zevin's All These Things I've Done, and Deb Caletti's The Six Rules of Maybe.  I've totally been looking forward to Gray's "werewolves on the Titanic" book since she started talking about it, and it finally came out this week!  Martha Schabas' Various Positions is one I ordered from a used book seller so I haven't gotten it yet, but it's a ballet book!  I couldn't resist.

From the library I only got two (mostly because I forgot to pick up my hold list when I left on Friday):

The Living Dead 2 - John Joseph Adams editor - a collection of zombie stories from a bunch of awesome authors.

It's Sunday again (and I have a respectable number of new books!) so it's time for The Story Siren's meme: In My Mailbox!

The four above are the books I got at the store this past Tuesday!  Book release day for Bloodlines and Sweetly so I HAD to grab them - and then Amy & Roger and An Artificial Night just leaped into my hands.  It was weird, yo.  I'm just lucky the other three books I picked up (Ally Carter's Heist Society duo and Eon) didn't also follow.

I also bought Always a Witch by Colleen MacCullough for the Kindle because I just couldn't wait to get it from the library.
